12U Girls
Autumn Bailey
Head Coach - 12U Black Autumn is excited to be joining PCVC this year as a coach for the 12U team. She started playing volleyball when she was 10 years old and has loved it ever since. Autumn played college volleyball at Michigan State University where she studied elementary education and then moved to Vancouver to join the Canadian National Team. Autumn played her first professional season in Turkey and helped her team earn a top 5 finish in the competitive Turkish League. In 2019 at the VNL qualifier, she suffered a knee injury that has kept her out of competition, but she is eager to heal and return to the court as soon as she can. Autumn is from Ontario and grew up playing club volleyball for Defensa. She has been coaching youth volleyball for 15 years and is excited to bring her expertise to the 12U level, helping to develop athletes to reach their full potential and to grow as people and teammates. |
Larissa Vilanova
Assistant Coach - 12U Black Larissa grew up in El Salvador and discovered her passion for volleyball at 13. Her journey led to notable achievements, including winning the provincial high school championships in 2019, the National Division D3 title that year, and the National Division D2 championship in 2021. She also secured 2nd place in the U-18 Beach Volleyball League in 2021. After moving to Canada, Larissa became an active player in advanced leagues in Cloverdale, New Westminster, and Maple Ridge. As a left-handed right-side player and skilled libero, she is passionate about teaching and inspiring younger athletes, sharing her love for the game with the next generations. |
Ricardo Hernandez
Head Coach - 12U Red Ricardo brings a wealth of coaching experience to the PCVC U12 Red team, with a strong background and dedication in coaching at various school levels. He has led both elementary and high school teams to highly successful seasons including leading his U12 girls school team to their first CISVA championship in school history in 2024. Ricardo is currently the head coach for the junior volleyball team at Little Flower Academy. Ricardo has played both volleyball and basketball and has represented BC and Ontario on provincial teams and competed at the CCAA level. Ricardo believes in making volleyball enjoyable and strives to inspire and develop the next generation of players. |
13U Girls
Caroline Livingston
Coach - 13u Black New to the club scene, Caroline is beyond excited to bring 15 years of playing experience, and 10 years of coaching experience to PCVC this season. Recently retired from Team Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team, Caroline has 5 years of experiencing competing on the world stage and playing professionally around the world in countries such as Switzerland, France, Greece, and Indonesia. Prior to her career as a full-time professional athlete, Caroline completed a Bachelor’s degree in Life Science at Queen’s University where she competed for the Gaels. She is originally from Kelowna, and having grown up in the provincial team and club systems in BC, she is thrilled to finally have the opportunity to give back to her local community, and help young athletes reach their full potential - not only on the court as athletes, but off the court as young women too. Outside of working with PCVC, Caroline has most recently served as the lead instructor for the school volleyball program at West Point Grey Academy’s Junior School, working with Grades 3 - 7, as well as leading the Wolves’ Grade 7 Volleyball Team to gold at this year’s ISEA Championships. |
Allyssah Fitterer
Coach - 13U Black Allyssah is returning to the PCVC coaching staff following a thrilling 2024 U12 season, with PCVC teams securing gold and silver medals at Provincial Championships. After 12 years competing at the club, regional, provincial, NCAA, and professional level, Allyssah retired from the Canadian Women’s National Team in the fall of 2023. Coaching has allowed Allyssah to give back all she’s learned and be a positive female role model for young women in sport. She brings the player’s perspective to coaching, focusing on athletes’ joy, improvement, and mental and physical well-being. In addition to technical training, she equally values teaching mental skills and sportsmanship. Outside of her work with PCVC, Allyssah leads Volleyball Canada’s Regional Excellence Program at the Olympic Oval. Her passion for helping others led her to work in youth education and mental health spaces. She is currently pursuing a degree in Counselling Psychology. |
Michelle Burt
Head Coach - 13U Red Michelle has finally decided to make the leap to coaching after playing competitively since the age of 16. She played volleyball in Toronto ON with the Scarborough Solars Volleyball Club, was selected to the Regional team x2 years and the Ontario Provincial Team x2 years. She was the starting middle blocker for the University of Toronto Varsity Team for 3 years and for the University of Manitoba Bisons Varsity Team for 1 year. Considered an “undersized” middle player, Michelle worked hard to secure her starting position by focusing on the fundamentals. She brings this same philosophy and dedication to the fundamentals to her coaching. Michelle’s motto is “all players, even middles, should be 6 rotation players” |
Momoko Fukuda
Assistant Coach - 13U Red Momoko started playing volleyball at the age of 9 in Japan and had the honor of competing in a national championship as a member of Team Tokyo while in high school. She also participated in the Spring High Volleyball Tournament, which is featured in the popular anime Haikyuu! After entering Rikkyo University in Japan, Momoko joined the volleyball team as both a coach and a player. She has also coached a girls team for ages 6 to 12. Momoko currently plays as a libero, however she has experience in all positions throughout her volleyball career. Momoko recently moved to Vancouver and is excited to join a coed 6s team now. She is honored to have the opportunity to be part of the PCVC team! |
14U Girls
Darby Dunn
Head Coach - 14U Black Darby played one year of indoor volleyball at Douglas College as a setter/left side before transferring to play three years of NCAA beach volleyball at Stetson University in Florida and two years at Loyola Marymount University in California. At Douglas, Darby was awarded Rookie of the Year and Second Team pac west all-star. At Stetson, Darby was awarded three conference pair of the year awards, 2018 Stetson University athlete of the year, and numerous conference academic and athletic awards. In 2021, Darby finished her NCAA beach volleyball career with a third place at nationals, her second NCAA championship all-star, undefeated in conference all 4 years, undefeated at nationals at both appearances, and 121 total wins to 32 losses. Darby's international debut was in 2013 at U21 World Championships where she represented Canada for the first time. 11 years later, Darby still represents Canada internationally on the NORCECA and the Beach Volleyball World Tour. |
Catherine Chow
Head Coach - 14U Red Catherine (Chow) Hughesman coached the U13 girls to a Provincial Tier 1 Silver medal during her inaugural year as a PCVC coach, having coached elementary school volleyball teams for the past three years. As a mom to two Club and beach players, Catherine’s can-do attitude supports the team, athletes and parents to enjoy the best playing experience possible for all. Catherine is an avid beach player, and she returned to playing indoor 6s for fun this year. Together with her spouse Curtis, they are proudly part of a family obsessed with volleyball and hockey; Catherine also enjoys an executive legal career with a professional sports team and is a UBC law professor. |
Gavin Hastings
Assistant Coach -14U Red Gavin has played volleyball since Grade 8. He played for the Victoria Volleyball Association for 5 years in high school and was selected for Team BC tryouts in 2009. He has coached multiple teams from elementary age all the way up to 18U. In 2023, he coached the 16U PCVC boys team to a top ten placement in provincials. Gavin is excited to be returning to PCVC for his third year with the club! |
15U Girls
Rich Schick
Head Coach - 15U Girls Richard has coached at all levels from 13u club to the University level, and both our Mens and Women's national team. As a player, Richard won National Championships at the college, university and pro levels and as a coach at college, university and junior beach levels. Over his coaching tenure his programs have produced numerous athletes who have who have represented both our Canadian indoor and beach national teams. |
Annie Pringle
Assistant Coach - 15U Girls Annie is very excited to be coaching with PCVC this club season. She fell in love with volleyball at the age of 16 and never looked back. She played NCAA D1 beach volleyball for the university of Alabama Birmingham and loves coaching both beach and indoor. Annie also coaches the senior girls volleyball team at Stratford hall and competes on the Volleyball BC beach tour. |
16U Girls
Meltem Kocak
Head Coach - 16U Girls Meltem is from Konya, Turkey. Her volleyball career started when she was 9 years old with a school team and Club team. Besides volleyball, she participated in other sports such as swimming, track and field (long distance running) and skiing. However, her main sport was always volleyball. Meltem has represented her school and her club with both junior and youth teams and earned many achievements with her team. At age 17, she signed her first professional Volleyball contract with Eregli Belediye Sport club where she was already playing for its youth team. She played for this team till age 20. Then she signed a contract with another super league team called Ted College Sports Club. Furthermore, she studied at Istanbul University in the department of Physical Education and Sport Science. She represented her university in Volleyball and skiing from 2010 to 2016. Most of her volleyball experience is as a player for 18 years and she has over 5 years coaching experience. Outside of Volleyball, she loves mountain biking, backcountry skiing and hiking. |
Brandon Nguyen
Assistant Coach - 16U Girls Brandon started playing volleyball in his junior year of high school where he quickly fell in love with the game. Since then he's been an active member of the indoor, beach, and grass volleyball communities where he coaches, plays and simply engages as a fan in the amateur and professional scenes. Brandon is a Certified Development Coach and trained Advanced Development Coach. He has experience coaching indoor and beach volleyball with school and club teams across various ages since 2011. He now enters his sixth year of coaching with PCVC and is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and passion for the sport with this year's 16U team. Outside of coaching Brandon works as a geological engineer and in his spare time he enjoys ranting about the Canucks! |
17U Girls
Lainna Buch
Head Coach - 17U Girls After coaching with Christian at Leaside Volleyball club in Toronto for 4 years, Lainna now enters into her 11th year of coaching club with PCVC. She is a certified Advanced Development Coach. She brings lots of energy and focus, and is truly passionate about the sport and its athletes. She was a member of the University of Waterloo Warriors Volleyball Team from 2009-2012, and in 2013 she played for the Humber College Hawks Volleyball team. That year she helped the team to win their 6th consecutive OCAA championship and bring home 4th at Nationals. Lainna is inspired and driven to coach not only players, but young women to be the very best people they can be, and is very excited to bring her strengths to Pacific Coast Volleyball Club |
Mike Hughes
Assistant Coach - 17U Girls As a player, Mike played setter at Langara College from 1994-1997. Dan Roed
Assistant Coach - 17U Girls Dan has played volleyball for over 18 years. He played for both the junior and senior national teams of Norway. Dan played 5 years for Thompson Rivers University graduating in 2017 and has coached camps and club teams on and off since the age of 18. Dan settled down in Vancouver after playing a year professionally in 2018. |
Bri Robinson
Assistant Coach - 17U Girls Bri has over 15 years of experience as an elite athlete and has coached for 10 years. Growing up, she played several sports, primarily focusing on soccer, volleyball, and gymnastics, eventually choosing soccer. At 15, she became the youngest semi-pro player in the W-League and joined Team Canada’s player pool at 16. Bri was later recruited to play for the McMaster Marauders in university. Bri began indoor volleyball at 12, often competing two age levels up despite being undersized. Her true passion emerged at 20 when she discovered beach volleyball. She left her soccer career to represent New Brunswick in the 2013 Canada Games for beach volleyball, but a serious back injury in 2014 led her to pursue coaching. Recently, Bri served as assistant coach for PCVC U16 girls and the 2022 Canada Games Women’s Beach Volleyball Team NB. She has also coached for the Fredericton Reds U18 club, Thunder Beach Volleyball, Volleyball BC beach, PCVC clinics, Richmond Oval High Performance, and VS Beach. Her true love and passion has always been and will always remain with volleyball. |
18u Girls
Irem Eren
Head Coach - 18U Girls Irem is from Izmir, Turkey. She started to play volleyball when she was 6 years old. Besides going to volleyball practices, she also did gymnastics and swimming for a couple years. However, volleyball was her favourite. Thus, she started to focus on volleyball once she got recruited to a professional club team. Irem and her teammates won the youth Nationals a couple times and their worst ranking was 5th in the country. Then, she got recruited to the professional league when she was in 9th grade, signing her first contract. Irem then came to the UBC Thunderbirds to study Biology and play on the varsity volleyball team. After a year, she had to take a break from playing high level due to a medical condition but she never stopped practicing volleyball. Irem started to play beach volleyball in 2020 and had her first competitions in 2021. She won a couple tournaments including a 2 star Volleyball BC tour. |
Adam Darcie
Assistant Coach - 18U Girls Adam's journey into the world of volleyball began as a middle blocker in indoor volleyball, where he quickly developed a deep appreciation for the sport's teamwork and strategy. While he has also dabbled in beach volleyball, his love for the game was further fueled by regularly spectating high-level beach volleyball matches. Before he found his interest as a volleyball coach, he had some memorable moments in high school sports, winning two provincial championships in soccer and earning the title of "Best Defender" in basketball. These experiences instilled in him the value of defence, sportsmanship, and the thrill of competition. Adam's journey continued at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where he reached the finals multiple times in intramural volleyball and truly fell in love with the sport while watching high-level competitive volleyball. With a solid foundation in team chemistry and movement mechanics Adam is excited to share his knowledge and expertise with our team. |

Jack Peckham
Head Coach - 14U Boys Coming to the PCVC by way of Ontario, Jack brings a decade of coaching experience at the club, provincial and post-secondary levels. A career playing for both Nipissing and Queen’s University (USPORT), Jack is a full-time teacher at WPGA and most recently lead Team BC Red and Blue (16U) to a Canada Cup gold. |
Parker Maris
Assistant Coach - 14U Boys The Edson, Alberta local comes from a rich family history of volleyball, being one of three Maris brothers playing for both Red Deer College (national champ!) and the University of Calgary. The practicing lawyer is fluent in Spanish and played in China and Uganda. |

Steve Woo
Head Coach - 15U Boys Steve is a second year volleyball coach with Pacific Coast. His journey as a coach has been nothing short of remarkable, marked by a deep love for the game and an unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent. Steve's passion for volleyball burns as brightly as ever. He continues to coach and mentor today's youth, passing on his knowledge and love for the game to the next generation of players. Michael Borromeo
Assistant Coach - 15U Boys Michael was first introduced to volleyball on the beaches of Sydney, Australia in his mid-twenties. After playing competitive basketball in high school and looking for a new passion, beach and indoor volleyball quickly became his favourite sports. He has been coaching adult and youth skills clinics for a year and a half, and this is his first season with PCVC. |

Radivoje Kurcubic
Assistant Coach - 16U Black Radivoje began playing volleyball at the age of 11, joining the junior selections of his hometown club in Serbia. Before turning 16, he advanced to the senior team, where he played as a libero. Over the next decade, Radivoje played semi-professionally in Serbia's second league, representing three different teams during this period. At the recommendation of his first coach, Radivoje transitioned to coaching, taking on the role of head coach for a boys’ 16-18U team. He successfully led this team for three full seasons before relocating to Canada. |
Elijah St Germain
Head Coach - 16U Red Elijah is looking forward to coaching his first season with PCVC. He joins us with five years of coaching experience at his former high school and club. He also has experience at the collegiate level playing three years at Douglas College as a libero, he’s excited to share his knowledge with the next generation of athletes. |
Evan Simpson
Assistant Coach - 16U Red Evan played club volleyball for 6 years for multiple clubs in Edmonton, Alberta. Outside of volleyball, he played many sports such as soccer, hockey, and skiing. To continue his love for volleyball, he coached with NOOKS Volleyball Club for three years in Edmonton. Completing a Masters degree at UBC, he is excited to continue his coaching journey and give back to the volleyball community with PCVC. |

Jenson Yuen
Assistant Coach - 17U Boys Born and raised in Vancouver, Jenson has been coaching at the youth, high school, and university level. As a player, Jenson has accumulated over 10 years of experience playing as a setter, outside attacker, and libero. Throughout his career, he has played for Team BC, the David Thompson Trojans, and the Capilano Blues, and was able to earn 3 berths to the BC High school Provincials, 4 Vancouver City Gold Medals, a PACWEST Provincial Gold Medal, and a CCAA National Gold medal. |
18U Boys
Jared Krause
Head Coach - 18U Black With over 20 years of experience on both the beach and indoor volleyball courts as a setter for UBC; having played professionally for over a decade, Jared now brings his knowledge and experience into a coaching role. He also competes domestically on the beach volleyball circuit. |
Andrew Remedios
Head Coach - 18U Red Andrew has been around the sport of volleyball as a player, coach and referee ever since his junior high school days. He was a starter on every team he represented including placing third at BC senior high school provincials, a silver medal at BC summer games, and several competitive adult club teams. He still enjoys playing recreationally and was part of a team that won gold in the over 40 category at the world masters games. From 2019 to current, he has focused on coaching club and high school volleyball. In his day job he serves as an advisor to a highly successful Canadian business family. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids. A highlight each year is the annual fishing trip with his brother, son, and nephew who also spend time on the volleyball courts. |
Geoffrey Yip
Assistant Coach - 18U Red Geoffrey has been playing volleyball (among other sports) for most of his life. He began his coaching career over seven years ago, as he saw a void that needed to be filled. He started coaching in the school system at Burnaby South until 2020, which led to him coaching club volleyball as well. Since then he has moved to Moscrop Secondary where he has recently been coaching several teams. Some of Geoffrey's recent accomplishments include: Burnaby South Rebels - 2018-2020 Jr Girls district championship finalist 2018-2019 Jr Girls district champions 2019-2020 Moscrop Panthers - 2021-2022 Jr Girls district champions 2021-2022 Sr Boys district champions 2021-2022 Sr Boys Fraser North Zone Finalists Sr Boys Provincials 8th place Moscrop Panthers - 2022-2023 Jr Girls Fraser North Zone Finalists 2022-2023 Sr Boys Fraser North Champions 2022-2023 Sr Boys Provincials 11th place Coaching is Geoffrey's way to give back by helping our youth grow through sports. Henry Wong
Assistant Coach - 18U Red Having played on club and high school teams throughout his youth and being a PCVC parent for the last five years, Henry is happy to be coming back this season as an assistant coach. He loves the sport and competition, and loves that it gives the boys an opportunity to learn, support, and work with each other as they strive for their best both on a personal level and as a team. Henry has fond memories of the camaraderie, the competition, and the push for excellence and is excited at the opportunity to foster the same with the PCVC boys as part of the coaching team! |
