She is originally from Kelowna, and having grown up in the provincial team and club systems in BC, she is thrilled to finally have the opportunity to give back to her local community, and help young athletes reach their full potential - not only on the court as athletes, but off the court as young women too. Having coached young athletes throughout her career abroad, Allyssah is excited to be giving back to young athletes in BC and Canada. She values teaching sportsmanship and the character of a good teammate as much as she values improving technical skills. With a degree in Design and a Master’s in Intercultural Communication, she approaches coaching (and life) with creativity and respect. In tandem with her commitment to volleyball, Allyssah has worked as an illustrator and science communicator in health research, youth education, and mental health spaces.
