Each day, is a mix of volleyball and non-volleyball activities. Volleyball activities may include individual skills drills, strength/conditioning drills, and mini scrimmages. Non-volleyball activities include swimming and other fun camp games. We also offer paddle boarding through a local paddle-boarding company (for full-day campers only) for an additional fee. On Fridays, we host a fun volleyball competition between all the campers.
Full-day campers will have the option of adding on paddle boarding lessons for one session (approximately 1.5 hrs) per week for $40 when they register. Paddle boards and paddle boarding instruction will be provided by a local paddle boarding rental company. The exact day of the week and time each week will vary depending on the tides. Any full day campers who choose not to go paddle boarding will have the option to go swimming, continue playing volleyball, or play some other fun camp games.
As this is an outdoor camp, we may experience inclement weather. In cases of light rain, we proceed as per usual. If we experience heavy rain, we will use our discretion and seek shelter. In the case of lightning, we will not be on the volleyball courts for safety reasons. If we have to cancel a session due to weather, our Inclement Weather Policy will apply:
Inclement Weather Policy for Beach Volleyball:
Programs will run rain or shine. The camp will only be cancelled if there is a significant amount of water pooling on the courts or if there is a public health advisory in effect advising people to avoid all outdoor activity due to poor air quality. In the event of lightning or extremely heavy rain, sessions may be suspended for a short period of time or cancelled. If a program is “suspended” (onsite delay), no refunds or credits will be given. If a session is cancelled, a credit or refund will be issued. The 4% credit card processing fee is non-refundable. The amount of the credit or refund will be determined by the Club based on recoverable costs and a breakdown of this amount will be provided to all registrants.
Our camp counsellors are all current or past varsity volleyball players and/or Club volleyball coaches from around the Lower Mainland who have a great way of working with children and tweens.
Withdrawals made up to and including the second session of a program are subject to a $25 cancellation fee, plus the prorated cost of any sessions that have already taken place at the time of withdrawal. If you prefer to receive a credit (to be used toward a future Pacific Coast Volleyball Club program) instead of a refund, the $25 administration fee will be waived. In this case, we will only deduct the prorated cost of any sessions that have already occurred at the time of withdrawal.
No refunds or credits will be issued after the second session has taken place and no refunds or credits will be issued for missed sessions during the program.
If payment was made by credit card, the 4% processing fee associated with the payment is non-refundable.
Programs will run rain, shine or snow. If a permit is cancelled for any reason beyond the Club’s control, the Club will first endeavour to provide a make-up session for all affected athletes. If a make-up session is not possible, the Club will provide affected participants with a credit voucher for future use in any Pacific Coast Volleyball Club program.
